What to do when your senior dog has diabetes…Puddles is blind and deaf. Lisa noticed her dog going around in circles in her backyard, repeatedly. Alice, her cousin, was visiting and saw Puddle’s behavior. Lisa told her cousin that this wasn’t Puddles’ first time doing this. Alice said the dog might have Type 2 diabetes due to her age. Puddles may be eating something that is increasing problems with her diabetes if this is what she had.
Lisa said that the dog enjoys eating some of the cat’s dry food, so in case that was the cause, Lisa moved it to a higher location so the dog couldn’t reach it and continued to have more problems. Puddles’ spells of walking in circles stopped and never returned.
